THE NAME IDA
The name Ida is a name somewhat related to our family. It’s a name we chose for our unborn child in 2010 when I was expecting our third child. When I gave birth, the child turned out to be a boy, who later got the name Victor. We think Ida is the perfect name for our boat since it somehow is a name in our family, we have yet to use.

LAYOUT

On board Ida there are 5 double cabins; 2 identical double aft cabins, 2 identical double center cabins and 1 double cabin in front. We stay in the 2 aft cabin and 1 center cabin. The crew can share a center cabin and the front cabin.

On board are 2 functioning toilet/showers and 1 toilet/shower with a holding tank. In addition there is a toilet/shower next to the kitchen, that we use for food storage.

In addition, we have a nice large and spacious saloon and galley with plenty of space for culinary indulgences.

Since Ida is catamaran, the cockpit is larger than most sailboats. We envision the cockpit to be the “heart” of the boat – where we eat, talk, play games, do homeschooling and so on.

On the foredeck there’s plenty of room to take a sun bath, or alone time and in the aft, there are two sugar scoops from where you can take a swim.
